Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Talk Today Consultancy collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, contact us, complete an AI Readiness Check or engage our services.
We collect information needed to respond to enquiries, deliver services and provide your indicative AI Readiness Score.
We use trusted service providers where needed to operate our website, forms, bookings and business systems.
You may ask to access or correct your information, make a privacy enquiry or opt out of marketing communications.

This policy applies to personal information handled through our website at talktodayconsultancy.com.au, our contact and assessment forms, consultation bookings, communications and client services.
We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and, where applicable, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What personal information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number, role and organisation details;
- your website address, industry, team size, business stage and customer type;
- information contained in enquiries, consultation requests and correspondence;
- information about business workflows, current technology and AI use, confidence, governance, operational challenges, data practices, priorities, budget and implementation readiness;
- appointment details and preferences when you book a consultation;
- client, supplier and professional contact details needed to deliver services and manage our business;
- technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages and website activity where collected by our hosting, security or analytics tools; and
- any other information you choose to provide.
Sensitive information
Please do not include sensitive personal information, passwords, confidential records or identifiable client, learner, patient or employee data in a general website form unless we have specifically asked for it and agreed on an appropriate method of transfer. If you voluntarily provide sensitive information, we will handle it only as permitted by law and for the purpose for which it was provided.
How we collect personal information
We generally collect personal information directly from you when you:
- submit our contact form or AI Readiness Check;
- book a consultation;
- email, call, meet with or otherwise communicate with us;
- engage us to provide services; or
- interact with our website or business profiles.
We may also receive information from an authorised representative, referral partner, publicly available business source or service provider where lawful and reasonably necessary for our work.
Where appropriate, we may provide a shorter collection notice at the point where information is requested. That notice should be read together with this policy.
How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide requested information;
- calculate and display an indicative AI Readiness Score and recommendations;
- review business needs and prepare for consultations;
- scope, quote, contract for and deliver our services;
- communicate with clients, suppliers and professional contacts;
- manage appointments, invoices, records, quality and service delivery;
- operate, secure, maintain and improve our website and business systems;
- prevent misuse, fraud or security threats;
- comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes; and
- send relevant marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose unless you consent or the use is otherwise authorised or required by law.
AI Readiness Check and automated scoring
When you complete our AI Readiness Check, your responses are used to generate an indicative score and readiness summary across areas such as AI adoption, governance, opportunity and execution readiness. The calculation is rules-based and produces general recommendations from the information you submit.
The result is an educational and preliminary business-planning tool. It is not a technical, legal, privacy, cybersecurity, financial or compliance audit, and it should not be treated as professional advice or a guarantee of outcomes.
The score is not used by us to make a decision that determines your legal rights, access to essential services, employment, credit or another matter that could significantly affect you. Our team may review your responses to understand your enquiry and discuss relevant services with you.
When we may share personal information
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:
- technology providers supporting website hosting, email, security, storage, forms and business systems;
- Web3Forms, which transmits submissions from our website forms;
- Calendly and related calendar or video-conferencing providers when you book a consultation;
- contractors or specialist consultants assisting with an authorised client engagement;
- accountants, insurers, legal advisers and other professional advisers;
- regulators, courts, law enforcement or government bodies where required or authorised by law; or
- another party with your consent.
We do not sell or rent personal information. Service providers are given access only to information reasonably needed to perform their functions, subject to their own terms, privacy practices and our contractual arrangements where applicable.
Overseas storage and processing
Some technology and service providers we use may store or process information outside Australia, including in locations where they or their infrastructure providers operate. The countries involved may vary as providers and systems change.
Where Australian privacy law applies, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to ensure overseas handling is consistent with applicable requirements. However, overseas recipients may be subject to different privacy laws and government-access regimes.
Cookies, analytics and website technology
Our website and service providers may use cookies, logs and similar technologies that are necessary for site operation, security, performance, preferences and analytics. These technologies may collect technical information about visits and interactions.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality. If we introduce non-essential tracking that requires additional consent in a relevant jurisdiction, we will update our notices and consent controls as appropriate.
Direct marketing
We may send information about relevant services, resources or events where you have consented or where permitted by law. Marketing communications will identify us and provide a clear way to unsubscribe.
You may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe facility in a message or contacting us at info@talktodayconsultancy.com.au. Service-related communications may still be sent where needed to manage an enquiry or engagement.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. These may include access controls, secure service providers, authentication, software maintenance, backups and staff or contractor confidentiality obligations.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you believe information sent to us may be at risk, please contact us promptly.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain business and client records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and satisfy legal, insurance, tax or professional requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it.
If we are subject to the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and an eligible data breach occurs, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required.
Accessing or correcting your information
You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Contact us using the details below and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records.
We may need to verify your identity. In some circumstances, access may be limited or refused where permitted by law. If that occurs, we will generally explain the reason and available complaint options. We do not ordinarily charge for a request, although we may charge reasonable costs where legally permitted and will discuss these with you first.
Privacy questions and complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please email us with details of the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge and investigate the matter within a reasonable period and may ask for further information.
If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies to the matter, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Third-party websites and services
Our website may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control their privacy or security practices. Their handling of personal information is governed by their own terms and policies, which you should review before providing information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, technology, information-handling practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
